Helping to keep Tube Lines on track - Delivering now while planning for the future

For William Flaherty, working with Redsixty means he can get on with his job in the knowledge that things are being delivered on budget, on time and with a watchful eye on the future. 

As a senior member of the IT Group at Tube Lines, William liaises with Redsixty regularly. Solid partnership is key to an approach which sees him draw up strategies for remote site installations before handing over the projects to Redsixty.

‘Redsixty take the strategy, cost it, plan it and look at all the practical issues around it,' William says. ‘Then they present a complete solution back to us. That includes all documentation, including a project plan and raising a Purchase Order. So when the project kicks off, there are no surprises and no guess work because it’s all laid out from the start.’

William admires the way that Redsixty get to know their clients and make sure they understand their needs. He believes this approach gives them the ability to work with any company, whatever their size.

‘When I first came into this job, there were a number of outstanding issues relating to our work with one partner which went back a long way. Redsixty’s methodical approach meant that we were not only able to deal with those issues but were also able to make sure that they don’t happen again in the future. They worked with us to fix the immediate problem and then refined the whole process to make sure we have a full IT structure on a temporary basis.’

‘Since then, they’ve continued to refine their methods and really complement what we do. They are one of our key partners, so much so that we’ve issued them with Tube Lines email addresses and Blackberries.’

He also values Redsixty’s strategic perspective and business planning expertise.

‘They have no problem implementing what we ask but they will also look at what we might need in the future and flag up things that we’d never even thought of. I think it’s all about connecting up core networks with a variety of innovative solutions. They are really good at what they do. I always know that if Redsixty are going to do something for me, it will get done – and very well.’
