SchoolTerm: A star pupil for Ravenscote - Access in class and at home

SchoolTerm is giving teachers the opportunity to access their work at home as well as in the classroom, helping them to prepare and plan their work more effectively.

‘While it’s certainly not compulsory, any teacher who wants to log in and work while at home can do,’ said Jennie Ratcliff, ICT Subject Leader at Ravenscote. ‘It has made a huge difference in terms of accessibility to our documents. I use it all the time. It makes things more flexible as I don’t have to do everything at school. It supports my planning as I can manage resources and have access to everything I have at school.’

SchoolTerm also helps the school manage its work with supply teachers. They can log into the system and look at what they will need to deliver in the classroom. The school hopes it will soon be able to extend this approach to pupils.

‘Pupils are not using it at home but that is being looked at as parents are now asking about how it could be done. That would enable parents to see what their children have been working on at school and to check their progress,’ said Jennie.
